If you have selected the Ignore CAD to Part check box when you save an alignment, PC-DMIS ignores the CAD to part matrix and instead only saves the machine...

You can actually take the feature and enter it right into your code.
Code:PNT2 =FEAT/CONTACT/VECTOR POINT/DEFAULT,CARTESIAN THEO/<0,0,PNT1.Z>,<0,0,1>

What I suggest is to create a generic point and use that in your alignment.
Code:ASSIGN/ZSHIFT=PROF1.DEV-0.0098 F1 =GENERIC/POINT,DEPENDENT,CARTESIAN,$

Someone might say, "Then why not put the variable in the for TARG and THEO?" That's great. However it doesn't make sense when the diameter is...

I did change it to say YES and it doesn't work. There is a correlation between the variable in the THEO line for diameter (and cylinder length) as well...

Are you looping your linear scan? Meaning, you are doing one scan, then looping that 36 times?...

KIRBSTER269 The fix is to add an alignment to the offset feature then run the circle. Easy fix until they can fix it in 2026.4 SP15....

KIRBSTER269 The problem lies if I need to check the diameter due to obstruction and I need to reference another feature in order to avoid the obstruction....
