    I need help

I have a bevel gear to measure.
I'm not sure how to do it.

I think the SPIRBV command were to be used here.
Only the license for GEARBV is not available.

but can I check this without a GEARBV license?

usually I can only check the pitch or, but it will be necessary to create a parts program for it, right?
Maybe someone already has a part program for pitch or spiral teeth here?

Gear commands won't work for you if you don't have that part of the license purchased from Hexagon.

Hmmm, good to know ! so quindos would be a a better alternative than gear ?

Quindos has many, many more gear options than PC-Dmis and can pretty much check any type of gear, rack, spline, worm or coupling you can think of (providing you purchase the required license option). PC-Dmis gear only supports straight or helical spur gears - we dropped support for bevel gears back in 2016.

I haven't done gears before so, they dump a bevelled gear on me. How do I get the pitch diameter (pitch cone?) of a bevel gear?
