Square slot woes :(

Hey Everyone?

I'm using a Tesio 300 DCC machine with PC-DMIS CAD++ either v4.0 or 4.1 i'm not excatly sure. When I check an external square I am getting strange results for both diameter and length. Sometimes it gives me negative values and sometimes it gives me the deviation as the sizes, any suggestions, and while i'm at it does anyone have an electronic copy of a users manual you can send me? Thanks

Hi James. Do the aquired measured points shown on the live view show that it's found the correct edge for the slot? If you F9 edit the feature and press the Test button, you'll see the points left on the live view, so you can ensure the correct edge is being found. If it's not, you'll need to adjust your image processing parameters.

If it was programmed by clicking on the live view, ensure you click two points down one of the longer flanks first, then one point on the top, one on the second flank, and one on the bottom. In V4.0 it needs to be that order, though in V4.1 you can click anyway you like.

If you send me a screen shot of the live image view I may be able to make suggestions. The online help should have been installed. There is a pcdmisvision.chm file in the pcdmis installed folder. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll send you a copy. If you mean an electronic copy of the machine, I can see what I can find.
