I did a scan for our engineering department 2 months ago to get some dimensions on a new part, today they asked me if I could export the pointcloud for them. I tried to export the pointcloud out as an IGES file but when I go to open the IGES file in CREO there is no data that shows up on the screen even though the actual file is 2GB. Am I doing something wrong?

Try exporting to STEP AP214
This is a more capable file type and any software today should be able to open it.Please Join The Effort.
