  • Misplaced Dongle

Hey folks, got a little problem with a Romer measurement arm at work. It has been sitting for a few years because no one knows PC-DMIS there. I started cleaning it up and getting it ready to put back in service. My PC_DMIS background is on CMM's , but it should translate pretty easy for me. Problem is somewhere in the past couple years the security dongle (Portlock) has been misplaced. How hard is it to get a replacement since my boss is the original and only owner of the arm and software?

Same process as purchasing a new one unfortunately. At a place I used to work at, one of the veterans had his own personal dongle for "outside" work, we also had a laser tracker in the same condition as your Romer arm dusty but in great shape and missing dongle... some believe that the veteran employee acquired his dongle right around the same time the laser tracker's went missing lol it sat for awhile before it went missing.

Are you (both) sure it's a dongle type license and not a software based type?
