That sounds too simple...
running 3.5 here, and im oder to copy & paste from one prg to another i have to
1.) Place "RECALL/STARTUP" at the very end of the "copy"-program.
2.)Copy features, and paste them below the RECALL/STARTUP in the same "copy"-program.
3.) Cut and paste these points ( I usually "F3" prior to be able to id them in the new prg.) Paste them in the "PASTE"-prg at the BEGINNING after STARTUP.
4.) Now cut and paste them where you need them
BEWARE, you need to re-identify your ALIGNMENT/RECALL
and be sure not to have copied any features or alignments with the same id.
If everybody focused on the more inportant things in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles!
That garbage with the alignment you are doing is due to the fact that with V3.5 they changed the way the nominals of features are 'stored'. Pre V3.5, they were actual, hard values. Now, it is more like they are variables relating back to the alignment and to the machine numbers. So, if the 2 alignments are NOT the same, the numbers change. If you have V3.2063 on the computer, save=back to that version and try it there. I never had a single nominal change when copy-paste between programs until I went to V3.5.

That is true,
I remember the "good ole days" of simpler copy & pasting....
But... as you so well know, where there's a will, there's a way.
We all seem to have found work-arounds for problems we encounter.

Try this: Check "Ignore CAD to Part" in both programs, then copy and paste the sections you need. If this box is left unchecked, the pasted features will change because they will relate to the alignment from which thet were copied.
This works in v3.2063, may be worth trying. HTH

(Advice from my dad.)
I am running 3.7 mr3. I have lost count of the number of times I have done a simple cut and paste or copy and paste to move or copy code in the program,...
I am running 4.1 and i copied a program because the only thing that changed was one overall distance and i ran the job. I looked at the data this morning...
