IGES v/s Others

I am using iges file to measure one complex part. After the inspection I send scan data and measurememnt of feature data to the engineer and he noticed that only scan data almost perfectly match with his design but not the feature measurements.
If I use anything other than iges is it make any difference? what is the best model format? (Pro-e,catia,unigraphics?)

What do you mean, not the feature measurements? What alignment are you using in the exporting of you data? are there more than one alignment? You will have to out put each set of data to each seperate alignment

I have never had a problem with .igs translations being different than the native models. Is there a problem with the part?
