X-axis chip rate error

You may have a bad encoder, but more likely just some debris on the scale. This can be cleaned with alcohol on a cotton swab. With the E-Stop pressed, push the Z all the way to one end of the bridge and wipe the scale with alcohol-soaked cotton swab from center out a few times til the swab comes up clean Push Z to the other end and repeat the process. Make sure the encoder is riding properly in its track and not slip-sliding around. Re-initialize the controller and home the machine. If the error is still there, the encoder is probably toast.
