  • fly mode!

Hey, I have a dual arm DEA, with some older controllers, PC-DMIS 3.5MR2. I'm doing some programming with the use of subroutines that call routines from other files. I'm having an issue with the slave side loosing fly mode. The master side has no issue throughout the program. Its really hit and miss actually, sometimes it goes through and others it doesn't.

Its running good other than that.. just taking a lot of time.. any thoughts?

well poo.... I stuck the Flymode command in 15 places in the program and that didn't help any. it still looses it. starts herking and jerking around. Pretty bad I have 2 tool changes, measuring a rather LARGE ammount of holes, with a large ammount of angle changes. Loosing fly mode is just making the porogram run time even longer! almost an hour to run it...

          FLY MODE

I can't think of a reason why fly mode would shut off. If you put it at the start it should work the whole time. I have seen programs do weird things and most of the time no matter what you do there is not an explanation. Maybe it is a bug in PCDMIS.

If there is an answer someone on here should have one. There are some pretty sharp fellows on here.
