3.7 MR3 IS BETTER THAN MR2. MR3 FIXED ALOT OF BUGS I FOUND IN MR2

I have said it here many times, ver3.25MR3 is the BEST release ever. The most stable, most of the newer tools that were released in 3.5 and the most "Normal" and logical user interface. Yes I also use and train in up to 3.7, but there is nothing that impresses me. Its a shame that"newest release" doesn't mean, more efficient, I mean, if you spend money, don't you expect something for it ???????

3.5 Cad++ MR2 - We have 3.7 and 4.0, but are holding off on using those, except when a customer sends us a prg done in 3.7... then we use their program to verify their parts... why 3.5??? cuz I'm the new guy and it was there before me!

3.207 Beta. This version does everything. The cost to upgrade is unrealistic when B&S back charges for time I did not have or need software support.

Dumbest thing I ever heard of. Back charging for the time you did not have an SMA. [SOAPBOX]Should be considered charging for a service not provided. Then again the SMA itself seems like a service not provided. You'll get more service from this site in a day than B&S will provide in a decade. Leave it to B&S to come up with something like that. Kind of like the phone company saying "well, it looks like we are going to have to charge you for al that time you were with another provider" with all the crap the government lets phone comanies get away with they would never get away with that.[/SOAPBOX]

SPEAKING of those phone companies, do you know you have to PAY to NOT have a long distance provider? WHAT? I have to PAY to keep you from giving me something I don't want? Run that by me again? Sounds JUST like the mafia (and I should know) charging for 'protection'.

Here in NY NYSEG (utility company) can charge you for NOT using a certain amout of energy. So say you don't use a certain minimum amount of natural gas they get to slap you with a penalty. And we are supposed to be one of the "eco-friendlier" states legislative wise. Why aren't they legislating that?

Back on topic:
I use 3.7 MR3. It is as stable as 3.5MR2 (so far) and the CAD interface is vastly improved. Before the IGES to CAD translation would make a file roughly 4 times the size. Now they are roughly equal. The ability to see hit locations is very nice since now I don't have to guess at starting and stopping angles. The swap vectors in edge points is a great time saver too. There are a few bugs still, so I hope MR4 is better (if they make one), but the bugs are easy to work around.

3.2063 - No SMA, plain and simple. If it where up to me, I prefer vs 3.7. Hopefully, with enough pressure, we will upgrade to a larger CMM and updated software.

I use 3.7MR3, seems to be the best MR for 3.7 so far.

3.5

It works good for us and I don't have time to exterminate bugs.

3.7 mr2 & 3.2063

3.7 mr2, only because we bought a new machine! Still have 3.2063 on the other machine and still use it on occasion, I lkie it a lot. We were able to strike a deal and get the old machine brought up to 3.7 mr2 when we bought the new one. No real problems with it yet, but that all depends on how you use it and what you try and make it do. Different folks have different problems.

3.7 MR3 Stable and the enhanced graphics features are very useful as noted below. Seeing start/stop angles, vectors and being able to drag & drop individual hits.
