  • Prehit distance

How would I change the prehit distance before a feature. I want to keep all the other prehits the same. I have a groove that I am trying to hit on one side and make a plane out of. The width of the groove is .14".

Hit enter to open a line, type PRE and hit TAB. Enter your prehit. Do the same for Retract.

      Prehit

Then change it back to what you want the others to be after the feature or before the next one if you have moves. This is a first for me I got to contribute something back.

YOu can go into insert, parameter change, and insert what you need there also.
I used to be high on life but I built up a tolerance.

I found it under the Paramater Change.
          Thanks for the help.

I just learned about the TAB thing today. I would try to type in the command like "prehit" and then try the "/" but it wouldn't let me type anything. You have to hit the TAB key - no wonder. That's one thing I miss about LKDMIS - you could type out all of your code in a word editor and paste it into your program without worrying about any number changes or anything like PCDMIS does - especially when you mess with a datum feature.
