I might be able to piece something together as an example of passing to Excell but as far as passing from excell back to PCDMIS I don't know how but it may be a matter of automating Excell with the same piece of script to get the info and then pass it back to PCDMIS. I have never passed an arguement or variable back to PCDMIS before. If anything you might be able to use a text file as a broker between PCDMIS and Excell. I'll see if I can piece together something to get your variable to Excell when I get a chance. Perhaps someone well versed in this will pick this one up and run with it. I'd like to see it pulled off. I'd certainly learn something.
Could you post an example of what you'd like to accomplish?

Is there a reason why you can't use datapage? Are you trying to create a single page report or something else. Either way you can make up the template in Excel of what you want and pull the data out of datapage and use a macro to format anything you like after that. After you make the template it is only seconds to run a macro and format it after that.PCDmis 3.5mr2 CAD++

The program is for machine adjustments. As the program measures the part it caulates the needed moves required to make the part correct to the print. Any move made on any axis of one feature effects all axis of eight other features. At present I have the program reporting the needed adjustments in a very rough approximation. I am trying to log my measurement results and the adjustments in some manner that I can put them back into the program to zero in on just what differance each adjustment makes.

I am curious about this one and will try to work on suggestions, I do like these kinds of challenges. I am sure it can be done but I might not be the one to get you an ultimate solution but I'll post whatever I can come up with and hopefully someone can improve upon what I may (or may not) come up with.
I have some questions:

"Rough" In that I assign the output from the features into a calulation and use that as a basis to tell the CNC setup person what to move where. But I want to use history of readings, moves & results so that I can place them into a excel program that will mimics and prove out the suggested moves. After I run this thru the excel program I want it to go back into the program so that the second shift guy "CNC programer" that knows nothing but how to push the button for this one CMM program. All the necessary info to make the moves needed.

results to Excel
Is what your looking for something that will transfer all dimensioned results into an excel file? If it is, then I downloaded a script file that takes the dimensional results and does just that. I got it from the Wilcox site years ago. I think it was from them. I have only used it once and it works fine. If that is what you are looking for let me know and I will attemt to remember which program I have it in.Ron
