Does anyone know if it is possible to use part of a dimension result as part of a calculation?

I would like to use the out of tolerance value as part of a calculation.

    Thanks
    Dan

I'm new to this and not sure how its supposed to read.

If I'm calculating the X value of a cirlce minus the x value of another cirlce I put in cir5.x-cir6.x

But what is the arguement for say dim53 outtol value. I've typed in a few guesses and they stay red or not right.

        ASSIGN/V1 = D080.T.OUTTOL

Where D080 is the dimension label, T is the axis, and OUTTOL is the amount out of tolerance.

There is a real handy 'HELP' section for this, type in the ASSIGN in the edit window and tab over to the 'argument' portion (right of the = sign) and hit F9. It will open up a nice window and you can literally walk your way through it. HOWEVER, when you finally get to your destination, BEFORE you click on the ADD button, make sure that the bottom line of text is empty or it will ADD the line of text you want to what it there, giving you garbage.
