  • distance to edge of a slot

I have a square slot 3mm x 3mm, It is dimensioned to front edge and back edge of the slot. I am having a huge amount of variation in the slot location so I am having trouble taking a single point or line on the edges. I can measure the slot itself with the help of FIND HOLE. Is there a way to dimension to the front edge and back edge of the slot from the slot feature? I am using a 2mm stylus and could change to a 1mm if I had to, but would rather not due to this being our most commonly used stylus, and I want it to be as easy as possible for the techs.
I might not love my job, but I love the ones it feeds!

iI'm not sure but I think you can use distance and add radii. Otherwise use the slt?.hit[?] to dimension it.

How about use the find hole, then take an edge points and use the slot as your rmeas feature.

1 thing you could do if find the slot and then set as your zero, zero location and then measure edges......Just a thought.

He might have been thinking about it, but he knew my wife would kill him so he thought better of it.
