I've got V35.MR2 and I have a CAD file (STEP) that I can only import when I set the prg parameters to inches when I create the prg. Is there any way that I can convert this to metric?
Sure dwade. When you go to your dimension option box, right below the create/ close buttons is a option to select your units. You can do it that way. If there are alot of dimensions, i know it will be a pain to keep switching each one as you go, but "I think" on the wilcox site they have a script to use to switch them globally after you program the part. I hope this helps you !
That will help a lot. Gage was made inches and I want to tolerance to "in car" coords and metric. The paper drawing shows metric sizes and locations but CAD is inch... Go figure...
I am not at work at the moment dwade, but will be there in a few hours or so, if u want me to change your CAD model to metric you could email it to me. Pm me if this is an easier option and I will give you my email address, its only a 2 second job so I would send it straight back to you.
I believe I know this answer already, but is there a way to take a program made in inches and copy\rename\re-(something)\ to make it into metric. I have...
Having trouble with a file. Will not import as Metric even though it was SAVED as Metric. I can pull the file up in any other CAD software as Metric....
I have two parts which are virtually identical, except one is metric and one is inch. The inch part is measured with the part oriented a particular way...
