Running 3.5 MR2, can anyone supply me with the algorythm for calculating the Max Inscr Dia of a sphere. It appears 3.5 MR2 only does max inscr on circles. Spheres (measured or constructed) do not give you any calculation options, I'm assuming it defaults to least squares. Do new releases address this issue.

because of the possibility of two or more valid answers, me thinks you can't solve this. so maybe cork is skrood

I think that it would be possible to have a ID sphere shape that would allow a sphere to fit into it in two or more different ways. If the Shape was slightly oval shaped(squished), a sphere might fit on one side and then also pushed to the other side.
What sort of weighted parameters would you specify that would determine which side was the correct side?
