  • Max Inscr Sphere

Running 3.5 MR2, can anyone supply me with the algorythm for calculating the Max Inscr Dia of a sphere. It appears 3.5 MR2 only does max inscr on circles. Spheres (measured or constructed) do not give you any calculation options, I'm assuming it defaults to least squares. Do new releases address this issue.

because of the possibility of two or more valid answers, me thinks you can't solve this. so maybe cork is skrood

      MAX INSCRIBED

How can there be 2 or more answers to a max inscribed sphere, please explain how there can be more than 1 maximum. I'm not sure if you understand the question because I definitely do not understand your answer.

Can't you just include the max/min dimensions with the diameter on the sphere?
I used to be high on life but I built up a tolerance.

I think that it would be possible to have a ID sphere shape that would allow a sphere to fit into it in two or more different ways. If the Shape was slightly oval shaped(squished), a sphere might fit on one side and then also pushed to the other side.
What sort of weighted parameters would you specify that would determine which side was the correct side?
