  • printing pdf file

    good morning all.

i'm trying to save my reports as a pdf file. i have set my directory
selected pdf file and prompt mode.
when i run the program a window pops up to save my report.
when i open the folder, pdf file is not there, not any place.

does a pdf converter have anything to do with this.

    thanks for the help/

As far as I know, Pcdmis SHOULD save files as PDF, using the print setup. I do not know if you need a minimum of the free ADOBE READER installed on the PC or not in order to use it.

              PDF FILES

You can down load old versions of ADOBE READER for free the newest release may cost you. Just do a search for ADOBE READER, and you should find one without any problem.

                DEA3CMM,
Go to your print options. Be sure to select the prompt button. After it checks the part, it will come up and let you save the file in whatever directory you wan to and whatever name. Be sure you PDF button is selected also.

                  PDF, already included

The PDF writer is already included in PC-DMIS. You should only need to select it as your printout option and the rest is automatic. Try without the prompt first, see if it makes any difference. Make sure you refresh the folder after running a program. Double check the path it is using.

You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If this is installed everything else is pretty much automatic. Just click on the file created by PC-DMIS.

                          Printers

If you look at your printers (Start - Printers and Faxes, or through the control panel) you should see either a PC-DMIS PDF Converter or a PC-DMIS 250 Converter.

DMIS will save the file as a PDF, but ya gotta have something to open it. This should link you to the download for Acrobat Reader:
