  • amplitude error?

Has anyone ever heard of a amplitude error? We are running PC-DMIS on a Globle machine and each time the program reaches a certain point this error comes up.

Is the error repeatable? Always happening at the same point in your program? Can you provide a screen print when the error pops up on the screen?

The error is repeatable. I'm sorry I can not do a screen dump.

to do a screen dump, hit the Print Screen button, Open A Word Program or excel and hit paste.

Could it be a bad scale/encoder/gap? I remember the bad old days of gaping encoders by tuning the amplitude of the sine wave using an osciliscope. I've never seen the error before but as soon as you said amplitude that is what came to mind.

I have had amplitude errors before. It can be anything from the encoder having dirt under it or on the scale itself or the encoder being moved or the board in the controller.
