    Anyone notice that the vector is not showing the proper value when you type in the polar angle?

    At 0º it is ok

    Happens all of the time. I just remember what it was before I edit the angles or radial locations.

        I have it happen all the time in the 4.X series. Just use the option to flip the vector.

          Can I ask a dumb question, please?

          How is the software to know what the vector of the point is supposed to be without you keying it it?
          Are not the polar points simply locations irrelevant to vector?

            in previous versions, this is working fine. When you type in the polar angle pcdmis will give you the proper vector, and flipping it doesnt resolve it.

            Also, at 180º when you change the polar radius, the vector changes when it shouldnt. the vector at 180 PR and 180 PA gives me 0.7071,0.7071,0

            Hope this gets resolved, i use this feature extensively.

              So when you use Vector point with Polar instead of Cartesian, you are always taking a hit towards the center and not straight down on the top surface? It is always used as a RADIAL point?

                The few times i have used it in 3.5 mr2 it flips the vectors...REALLY SUCKS

                  yes the vector should be coming from the center or to the center depending on the circular feature that you're trying to measure.

                  that is fine as long as its giving you the proper values.

                  What is happening is, when i measure the inner side wall of a turbine casting, there are sometimes vanes that i have to avoid, so i need to moves my points around by adjusting the polar angle (there is no cad).
