If you have the statistics command in the program all the data for that program (including the true pos) will go to datapage at the end of the run. It will be listed as a "loc#" or whatever you might have re-named it. I show in my database a feature named 4 different times as loc4.x loc4.y loc4.d loc4.tp for all the parts of a true position.

What is your exact call out? Does is use modifiers like MMC or LMC? If so, you may not be able to do meaningful SPC.

I was in a position where I was told to SPC true position. There is a threat from a few weeks ago that deals with that (SPC on TP). If there are no modifiers, I believe you can get meaningful results. If anwhere in the call out modifiers are used, SPC is not meaningful because the TP call-out basically represents a go/no-go gauge. PC-DMIS developers have told me that they wiggle the hard gauge to get the TP dimension as close as possible to zero. So although your datum holes may be off, they may report zero as the TP result. So does a zero TP result mean your process is under control? Not really. It means that you wiggle your gauge so that the numbers look perfect.

PC-DMIS V4.0 gives graphical feedback when entering TP dimensions. It tells you graphically how much they wiggled the gauge (rotated and translated). That is what you can track by SPC: if you are in tolerance, how much did they wiggle the gauge to get the end-result? If there is hardly any wiggle required, you are probably better in control than if you need a lot of motion to have your gauge go through.

Right now, that is what I started to report: the numbers for translation and rotation. That seems to be a much better process capability indicator than just the TP number. However, it is very hard to correlate the amount of wiggle to the TP tolerance.

If you are using FEATURE ID's, it will show up as the variable .TP after the feature ID (example CIRCLE01.TP).

If you are using DIMENSION ID's, it will show up as the varialbe .TP after the dimension ID (example DIMTP01.TP).

No matter WHAT you do or how you try to do it, the MMC bonus will NOT show up in Datapage as part of the TP tolerance. It used to, back before they changed it from D to DF for the diameter varaible for the hole. So, if you are in tolerance WITH the MMC and out of tolerance to straight TP, you will be out of tolerance in Datapage. The BONUS value will show up in Datapage and the variable .B (after the ID). To get it to give you the bonus as part of the tolerance, you will have to dump to Excel and fix it there.

Thanks guys,I was able to send the true position to datapage, but together with the basic dimensions,I meant there're separate but in the data, this should be ok,It just that I was trying to send only true position, but any ways on may,15. I will be taking tha datapage Class.

              thanks
              for your advice

Hit the F9 button and uncheck everything execpt the TP. You can also go into Datapage RT Editor, and do a Varialble set, and make your own set of dimensions you want outputting and in what order.

                  Thanks Paul

I went to datapage editor and fix my data,Which pc dmis version are you using? because I'm using 3.7mr2 and if I uncheck or remove the coordinates from the true position box it will not calculate the true position,it needs the basic coordinates to calculate it.I tried it not long a go and I called Exagon Metrology and the tech guy could not resolve it eather at that time I wanted to output only true position,He told to define a variable.
