  • DataPage Calculation Rules

    Morning all

Wondering if those of you that use data Page could tell me what I should be seeing or using per the calculation rules.

As of now I see no difference in data if I have 4,5, or 6 sigma checked.
I do notice a difference if I use estimated std. dev. for Cp, Cpk v.s. Use sample Std. dev. for Cp, Cpk.

I haven't used this in awhile and forgot how I had it set up from where I used to work. I think I need to use the actual sample and not the estimated.

    Any thoughts?

Estimated is for use when you are measuring SOME of the total parts while SAMPLE is used when you measure ALL of the total parts in the batch/run/whatever.

OK so if I am just running 10 out of the lot then I would use Estimated..

Well that software is sure smart as to know what my other 20 will be!!! WOW --snicker--

Thanks Matt it looks like I should use estimated per your response..
