Saved Window Layouts

Can someone tell me how to get rid of a window layout saved screen. At the top of the program screen there are buttons that give you the window layouts. I have tried to click and drag them to the graphics screen but they wont move. Am I doing something wrong. I want to get rid of a few of the saved ones and resave them. This way I dont have a bunch of these things around up there.

Drag the layout button you want to remove while holding the shift button.

Go to view, Toolbars. Then uncheck windows layout toolbar.
