  • Printing Problems

I'm using vs3.2063 - here's my dilema ---- I printed out a report to .pdf, no problem. While I had it open in Adobe, I spotted a brain fart. I went back into PC-DMIS, fixed the problem, and tried to "overwrite" the file. I still had it open in Adobe though. Even after closing everything, I get this error : "PCDLRN - could not start print job" ....... any suggestions????

Don't overwrite it, just use auto and delete the old.

I had tried that -- didn't work either. It wouldn't even let me delete the other file. Apparently, it had it locked up in cyberspace somewhere. Finally, I kicked the computer and restarted it. After that, it let me delete the file, then I was able to print to .pdf again.

      Thanks for the suggestion

I use winxp and have noticed that problem with files in other programs as well. win xp locks the files. I don't know if it has to do with file caching or what. Course having the file open while trying to print to it can't help either.
