I found CUSTOMER.EXE in the PC D-MIS directory.
Was curious if anyone knows what it is used for.

It pulls up your port-lock information so you can tell B&S (every year) what port lock YOU have (it never changes) and what options you have paid for (they can't keep track for some reason) so they can send you a program so that it can be updated to the NEW expiration date of your SMA.

      Be careful.
If you run that while Word is running.... you will become alergic to beer.
      Lately, it occurs to me
What a long, strange trip it's been.

        Isn't it "custprog.exe" ?
I used to be high on life but I built up a tolerance.

Or does it execute customers who run it?
When in doubt, post code. A second set of eyes might see something you missed.

Custprog.exe stores all your licence details, i.e. what modules you have, when your SMA expires etc.

I have no idea what Customer.exe does but I have it in my area also

Looks like it's something to do with re-programming your HASP. My advice -stay well away

Remote Update?? It looks like an old Modem Software. Maybe it is a backdoor for Hexagon to access your computer.
Hmmm... must run in msdos mode.

maybe we can start a conspiracy...
