  • Hot Key shortcuts

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am doing a lot of offline programming (with cad thank goodness ;o). Im sure you'll appreciate the need for seeing the path lines and subsequent collision detection. I wanted to create a hot key for this (shift & P).
    Right, I have gone into:

    View
    Toolbars
    Customise
    Keyboard
    View
    Path Lines

I have then entered "Shift & P" in the new shortcut field, assigned it, applied it and ok'd it.

Thi shortcut (hotkey) appears next to the Path lines function on the drop down menu but when I press shift & p. Nothing happens. What am I missing????????

    Best

    TIA

It seems to me that none of the factory hot keys use SHIFT+ an alphanumeric character. Try a different combo.

Try alt-p. That worked for me.

Shift probably doesn't work because how would the computer know if you wanted to type "P" or use the shortcut?

Do you mean you when you apply this it doesn't work or that the apply button is grayed out?

Hmm, could that be another difference between pro, cad and cad++?

Could it be that the combination you chose is already assigned to something else?
