  • Auto Calibrate

I have a program that I change the probe size in the middle. I put in a operator comment to change the tip, then it goes into auto calibrate, and then back to the part to check the rest of it. My question is; Why do the calibration results show up in my report?

In the auto calibrate block where it says "SHOW_SUMMARY=YES", highlight YES and toggle it to NO.

I tried that. All it does is toggle it on and off in the command window, but still shows up on the report.

If you are using a TP20 then you calibrate each module before you begin then you can swap back and forth all day long. If you are using a TP2 then I would create each probe with a seperate PAA1 autojoint and calibrate and swap like the TP20. If you don't have an extra PAA1 then I don't know; so i'll just shut up and sit down.

I'm with J Temmen on that. I didn't realize that the report window always displays the results. I always use probe cals as stand alone programs so I always display the results. Does it absolutely need to be integrated into the part program? If not I'd lose it (James is right if you have stylus on modules calibrate all of them then let 'er rip). I tried a couple of things and could not get rid of the results in the report window.

            I am using a TP2
I have to change probe tips for this part
            The I.D. is Datum A (.60 dia) so I am using a 5mm x 50mm
The features on the outside of the part are way too small for that size probe, so I switch tips to a 1mm x 20mm
