  • Boss lost my windows

I am running a Mitutoyo manual with PC-DMIS 4.1. Last week my boss updated the outlook software on the terminal I use to run the CMM. Before this update, when I ran programs, I had the toolbar, edit window and th egraphics display window open. I nee these because about 50% o the programs were written by previous programmer who didnot put in prompts to indicate where to take hits and on what features. Now all i can get is the graphics display window. Can anyone please tell me how to restore the windowa I need, or should I just blame my new lack of productivity on my boss.

Right click up on the tool bar. Is this what you mean? Also click on View, is this what you are asking for?

No, what I am looking for is the view that is on the screen when the program is running. It used to show the toolbar, edit window so I could see where I was in the program, and the graphics display window, so I could see the features being taken and make sure the features were all coming out the way they should be.

I believe you need to click on VIEW --> GRAPHICS DISPLAY WINDOW and VIEW --> REPORT WINDOW but I haven't ran 4.1 in a while so I may be totally off-base here...

First, you should ALWAYS blame lack of productivity on your boss.

Second, try what Ranger suggested while a program is running.

I always do... 99.9% of the time it is the truth though...

You want to turn on your edit window while the program is running so you can see where the program is running at? Can't you go to view, edit window? Are you saying it reverts back to something else when the program is done running?

I have the same problem, but I am running 3.7Mr2...
my operators swear they haven't touched anything, but the run views are all different.
now full report mode has "point1=point measured from 1 hit " comments that were never there before. gremlins?
Do I use the same procedure to change the views back as listed before?

MR2 - most likely gremlins. Don't forget to blame your boss and I recomend 'upgrading' to MR3 if possible.

When the program is running you can adjust the window layout to how you want it. When the program is done it will revert back to your original setup. I have it where only my report window is showing when programs run.

Yes, I can change the views using the tool bar prior to running the program, but once it starts, all I have is the graphics display. No tool bar to make changes!!!! That is one of the problems.

When it's running right click the toolbar area up there and turn the toolbars on.

Is the tool bar with File/Edit/View/etc missing during execute?
