  • my cadd moved ????????????

    how everybody.

I have been running a program for several weeks, today i went to add some points and i'm about 20mm off location in x. My cad shows that the points are right there. I have herd this happens with pc-dmis. I dont really feel like dumping the whole program, besides it ran before so i know its not a pickup problem. any ideals

    thanks FAT FREDDY

    Were you adding autovector points?
Check to see if the "thickness" box has a value in it.
    Lately, it occurs to me
What a long, strange trip it's been.

Are only the "new" points showing this problem?

Do you have some kind of an aux. alignment in the program? If so, go back up to JUST AFTER your main (final, CAD) alignment and try it there.

jUST one manual and one dcc alaignment. Tooling bushings on a fixture. I started a new program , but i am having the same problem. It,s like i have a bad pickup. i put a point on the model before i picked up my fixture.then i picked up my fixture, typed in the same point as before ,and it,s right where it's suposed to be.

Shut down, re-boot everything. It can't hurt and might help. If it is happening in a new program???

                    Hello,
Using the auto feature, pick the point, look at the nominals and compare them to the machine cordinates at the bottom right of the screen. move the styli to the point on the part without touching the part, these should be very close. If there is a difference, move the styli to one of the alignment points (tooling bushings) and check the position. If they are not the same, F9 the bushing features and verify that they have not changed.

Check your probe roation against the rotation in the program. I had this one happen to me last week. Had me baffled for a little while until I realized that my program was in a 15,90 rotation and my head was at 0,0.

That's what I get for going back and editing a finshed program.

I had the same problem before. B&S has no answer as to why it did it to me. I even sent them all the program files. I had to dump the program and start over fresh.
