    can anyone tell me how to calibrate a disk and a cylinder probe?

    Gday,
    I believe you would just select whichever you are using ( disc or cylinder ) when you build up your probe in the probe utilities box, the software should compensate for this. ( just put your cursor next to the probe in your program and hit F9 ). cheers.

      The easiest way is to calibrate a regular sphere tip and then without moving your qual sphere switch to the disk probe and calibrate (answering no to the sphere moving) using 10 hits total on 2 levels (5 hits each level).

        If you don't have a profile for your cylinder/disk probe already in your 'tip library', then you'll have to teach it by qualifying under the 'manual DCC' button on your probe qualification window. Once you have it in your library, it will qualify just like any other probe.

          Don't forget to add the additional hits for the "Shank Qual" if you are using a shaft or cylindrical probe.
