  • Polar Vector Compensation

    I have a cylinder facing the Y+ machine axis. I have the origin in the center established. Now I want to take random points on the surface and find the polar distance. I can't remember how to do this.
    I used to be high on life but I built up a tolerance.

    Not sure I follow, (nothing new I know), but Diameter divided by 2 is equal to Polar Radius. (if that is what you mean by "distance") HTH

        Ah figured it out. I've used polarvectorcomp/3D but have never used the others.

          how does polarvectorcomp/3d work? I was under the impression that polar coord in pcdmis followed the Radius Angle Height convention which is not truly a 3D polar coord system.

            I used it for checking polar distances (radii) in sphereical features.
