  • Sorting Data

    Hello,
Here is my situation. I'm attempting to save a lot of time here.
I have an Customer Excel form for my reports and I have to type my data in manually. Ok, instead of printing to .rtf and typing from each report, I sent my data to data page and now, I want to take the data from the data values page and copy and paiste into the excel form. My only problem is that I don't know how to change the format. My Excel form has the qty from left to right and the values going down.

    Part # 1 2 3 4 etc
    X
    Y
    Z

    X
    Y
    Z

    Data page gives the following:
    1 X Y Z X Y Z X Y Z
    2
    3
    4

I've created a blank excel page, pasted my data from data page and now I need the data sorted as above. Does anyone have any ideas???????

    Thanks in Advance,
    A.Gore

You could record a macro and then you would only have to do it once then run macro..just an idea

MAN, you are REALLY going about it the HARD WAY!

        Copy the dat, then click:

        EDIT
        PASTE SPECIAL
        Mark the TRANSPOSE box.

        OR

In Datapage, change the report 'direction'. You can have the columns DATE or VARIABLE

Is there a way that data page will show just the deviation amounts instead of the measured values?

YEP! Open Datapage, go to OPTIONS ~ DATA REPORT OPTIONS and mark DEVIATION instead of DATA VALUE.
