  • Upgrade to 4.2 or wait for 4.2MR1?

Just like the title says should I upgrade to 4.2 or wait for 4.2MR1? Incidentally, I have a mycrona w/ a camera and TTP running 4.1. TIA

It may be a little while(month or two). But still, I would wait.

          WAIT!

We had loads of problems that still are not resolved.

Everything from printing to movements issues.

I would wait for v9.0. Use what works now

Yes its true, it's a nightmare, but nowhere near the 3.5 nightmare. The interface & reporting has changed so much, I'm getting onboard now, so when the real deal comes, it will be easy.
Besides all the glitches, I wouldn't go back to 3.7.

I upgraded and I am happy now ( I had a few small issues) that I did it. I have far less problems with 4.2 than 4.1. Contrary to some other folks, I do not have the dreaded serialization error anymore. Major improvement! Also, customizing reports went from impossible to bearable. Still small issues, but I can work around them.

I would not wait for next MR.

Your using 4.1 right? A few things were added to 4.2. Nothing extreme.

I'm currently using PC DMIS 4.1 (it's what came with the machine) and from everything I've heard 4.2 would be a step up so I'm looking for a bit of advice...

is it possible to get a copy of 4.2 to use for offline testing?
                        currently using 4.1.
