    Can anyone explain why I got a error message "An unsupported sprpting operation was attempted" ?

    What machine, what version? What were you trying to do?

    Please fill out the User CP in the tool bar up top. That will help us a lot in trying to figure out what may be happening!

      Sorry, there are actually three of us with access to this login and apparently one of my co-workers entered this. We are about 2 weeks past the initial training for PC-DMIS so we are neophytes with the software. From what I gather, a simple program was written to measure a Surface Profile to be used for Measurement Studies. The step for calculating the Surface Profile was inadvertantly omitted. The operator went back and added the step as the last line in the program. When the program ran for the next part all points were taken correctly but when it came to the calculation , the program froze with the Unsupported Scripting Error Message. It also froze the software to the point of needing to restart the computer.

      I should also note that we have a "bastardized" CMM set-up
