I have been using a spaceball for PCDmis and find it works well. I was wondering if there are any other users out there...and what driver works best for PCDmis? I am using the SPACEBALL 5000.

    V4.2
    CATIA V5R17
    PDCmis v4.2 MR1

I have a Space Navigator, not a SpaceBall. It works well, we just don't have a lot of 3D CAD to really utilize it. So it just sits in my desk collecting dust.

It has the drivers for it, its sweet. You would think that Hexagon would give us something better than just a cheap Dell Mouse or at least offer it.

Once anyone using one goes back to an regular mouse, it will be like going back to the caveman days.

Used one with DMIS & UniGraphics. Spaceball for left hand, mouse on right. Once you get used to it, it can really speed up the operation.
Software depends on yous space mouse, OS and so on.

Has anyone had any luck with a SpacePilot and ver. 3.7mr2? It works wonderfully in SolidWorks, but the navigation in PC-DMIS is so bizarre that it's still easier to use a mouse. Was the support ironed out in ver. 4?
