Any body know how to correct this error? I am not being shut down over it I just switch to RS-232. I believe it has to do with having the machine set up for scanning, but not having a scanning head.

It means it's not connecting to your controller. You will have to restart your controller and pcdmis to re-nsyc. RS-232 is an old serial connection. TCP/IP is the newer connections using RJ-45 (networking) connection. I'm assuming you have a controller capable of supporting a scanning head that's why.I used to be high on life but I built up a tolerance.
