I know this question will be easy for the long time PCDMIS guru. Friday I tried to use "IF" questions to tell the operator that if his part diameter is out of tolerance a "comment" would tell him to use the plug gage . But in PCDMIS the "comment" would print no matter what. How do I get around this small problem.

Can you post your code? It should probably look something like this...

if/cir1.d>x.xxx and cir1.d<x.xxx
comment/operator ;Your circle is out of tolerance as measured by the CMM. 
                 ;Double check it with a plug gage
end/if

That code may not be exact as I don't remember where all the /'s go and other stuff like that. It was posted just to give an idea.

Choose "Operator" for the comment parameters. If your comment is printing, it's probably set to report.

I will try this, because I did have my comment a report comment.
