Getting wacky numbers here. Alignment is set. Points are taken along the x-axis. I'm doing a 3D distance (X). The distance is not matching what i get subtracting one of the points (x) to the other (x).

3-D will give you the total deviaiton betwee the points in 3-D space. If there is a Y axis or Z axis difference, it will be incuded in the result along with the X axis deviation. If you only want the X difference, use 2-D distance (IN the Z workplane) parrellel to the X axis or PERP to the Y axis.sigpic

Ouch !!
I'll have to comfort myself with some good Scotch !!
Would anyone care to join me? It's been a long week.
Things are becoming "interesting" around here. Our facility is "transitioning" the business out of our "little" plant to a couple of the "bigger" sister facilities.
Don't know where I'll be headed to. Hopefully, it will be somewhere that I can continue to associate myself with you good "folk".
Blessings,
