I dont think the got fly mode working on the SMP400. There is the new controller that they are using on the B&S (SMP360?) that may support circular motion(fly mode)
SMP 350.
Still, with MeasureMax 6.53 the CMM does pretty well. No waiting at corners. Just the PC DMIS. Hmm.
The reason MeasureMax does not wait at the corners is because of MoveTolerance settings in the controller. PCDMIS does not know what that is and cant set or reset it to take advantage of it. You cant open it up for PCDMIS either because then you would start clipping corners.
Since they own Sheffield, you would think that they could exploit that capability... especially since they will now be using the Sheffield controllers(UMP3XX, I think) on the ONE and other B&S CMMs.

Baby steps?
Let 'em get the Sheffield controllers to work properly with the DEMON and then go on to the other stuff. I am so sorry oh great HEXAGON for even thinking you could have an issue with anything you do.

Fly mode doesn't work on Starrett machines either!
Anyone on here know off hand if a Sheffield UMP-360 controller supports fly mode at all? We just got two new 454 SF CMM's, and it's not looking like...
Are there any known issues with running fly mode in 3.7mr1? I tried to insert fly mode at 5mm and it caused my prg to not go to the move point coords....
