Understanding CMM Calibration Reports

Hello Everyone,

This is something I've struggled to understand and struggled even more to explain to my managers. I have to Tigos that are measuring slightly differently. I think it acceptable and reasonable however my managers think the CMM measurements need to be exactly the same.

I've asked Hexagon for some help as well but they haven't called yet. I would like to understand my ISO cert for a scanning tigo. When my boss or other manger asks me, "how accurate it it?", what am I suppose to say?

Find the folder on your PC with the certification results. ISO 10360. Look up the ISO 10360 Standard and they can read what each calibration type means.

Your machine is accurate to a formula that covers the working envelope of the CMM. Not that simple. There should be a formula with the purchase documents for you CMM.

Looking through my cert. I have 2.7+5L/1000 um on each page on my cert. That should be the factory spec right? OEM spec RO, MPL is 1.6um. I'm guessing that the accuracy of each linear measurement and 3 volumetric results.
