What Matt Said is a workaround if your CMM is down and you need to keep working anyway b/c you are not on ********'s payroll, but. . .
You can open a program online, and then open a second program offline and then use the dropdown Window menu to switch between them. (File>Open>Interface [bottom box/dropdown line])
And. . .
You can choose offline when opening the first program in pc-dmis instead of online.
When I was learning pc-dmis I was advised to run new unfamiliar programs offline first to "see" in the graphics screen what the program was going to do before executing the program online. Not all of those programs had good setup instructions, so this was helpful, especially in determining where the manual hits should be taken.
