  • Auto calibrate issue

I have been having issue with auto calibrate when using two probe files, I’m using PC-DMIS 2020 R1. On certain programs when I go to run an auto calibrate the same tip angle is added into the probe file multiple times. Then when I review the probe file after the calibration is complete it calibrates one version of the angle and then has this symbol ‘*’ next to another version of the same angle in the probe file. This has lead to an operator running a program and the CMM giving incorrect readings.

I only use auto calibrate with two probe files because we use protected mode. Does anyone know a different way of calibrating two probe files in protected mode. If not does anyone know how to put a fail safe into the program to stop it running if calibration is failed.

Any help would be much appreciated.

While it may not stop execution, the first two warnings in the probe setup dialog will give a warning if the probe is not calibrated recently.
