2" grid surface points

Anyone know an easy way to 2" grid a kicked surface for a feature set surface. The Edge of part is an uneven shape.

Uneven? Is the edge an angle? Can you use a Sine Plate to do it?

EOP (edge of part) is an uneven shape as not a box or oval, etc. The surface face is constant changing (not planar or an radial).

DO you have any holes or a straight cut out in it? Can you post a PIc?

Okay, the large round hole in the center is that surface or any of those surfaces true to the world?

try a UV scan.

I Tryed something and it will suffice ~ Under View set-up I turned on the graphical 3d grid and set the grid spacing to 1" in X,Y, & Z. It is good. Thanks for the UV scan tip. That would work also but for this situation I can skin the cat a little differently.
