If this proves to be *the* solid 4.x version, then it is only what, about 10. . . 11 months after they first issued 4.0? Of course it took 3 MRs to get 3.7 running smooth and stable. 4.x may need a couple more yet.

My $0.02, and I took it easy on them! It is not like they don't deserve it.

I agree Wes, Proceed with caution.
I have been using 4.2 beta versions for a few weeks. there are quite a few things I like but we are having some issues with one of our keys not wanting to update the modules to what I need it to be. I do not know if it is a key thing or a pcdmis thing, or if it is just me yet.
I just know a lot of people have been asking about 4.2, so I posted that you can get the "official release" now. I will say I think it is far better in Beta than 4.1 ever was. so if you are at 4.1 I would recommend 4.2 over that.

I seriously doubt that I'll ever upgrade past 3.7 Mr3. After all the BS thats happened with releases, my supervisor decided he would decide when to upgrade. All the released software now goes to him. Since the MRs don't ever get released to the world he'll NEVER get one and I refuse to load up the first release of ANY PCDmis software. So I'll be stuck right here for the forseeable future.

Bleeding edge isn't always the way to go, it proves to be very unstable, but then again there could be some advantages.
