Yeah, I guess some clarification or ELI5 version of the helpfile would be handy... ;P

Thanks for the reply. From the help file below but was looking for more detail if anyone knows how to explain what both settings will do in terms of using Cad in the program but moving between different stations on a Multi location fixture, whilst just having one Cad model in the program, if that makes sense!
    • Machine to Parts - Stores only the machines to parts transformation matrix.
    • Both - Stores both the CAD to parts transformation matrix and the machine to parts transformation matrix
    • If the part alignment origin matches the CAD origin then it is not necessary to include the CAD to Part transform. Either option will work.
    • If the part alignment origin differs from the CAD origin in either location or orientation, it is necessary to include the CAD to Part transform. Ctihoose Both.
    • If the part program does not include a CAD model, there is no need to include the CAD

Can someone explain the difference between the 'Machine to Parts' or 'Both' options when saving an external alignment? TIA
