  • Best fit perpendicular plane

I have had the pleasure of attending a basic class in GD&T.
I have been instructed as such:
Datum B, if a plane feature, is to be constructed as a best fit plane, perpendicular to datum A.
I typically construct a line from a planer surface for datum B. This, I find out is probably not a good interpretation of the drawing.
What technique do use to accomplish this best fit perp plane?
This also brings me back to a previous post concerning rotation to a planer surface used in the alignment.
    Ideas, comments ?
