  • ONE weight limit?

Does anyone know the max weight limit of a workpiece for a B&S ONE 7-10-7?

    Thanks in advance.

That will not only depend on the machine, but also on anykind of air leveler/vibratino isolation system you may have. As for just the machine, I don't know.

I want to say around 1500 lbs. I have documentation here somewhere I'll see if I can find it.

Dang, I feel sorry for you guys being limited to such a small weight. The limit for my machine (or so I have been told) is around 7,500 pounds, including the weight limit of the Barry vibra-system thing.

I want to say we have around a 5,000 lb limit on our 7-10-7 Excel but it has been a while since I've been around that machine. The max part we throw on that one is like 1,600 lbs I think. These machines don't see much weight here. Most of our parts are aluminum housings and small steel parts probably no bigger than 12 inches in diameter at most.

I feel sorry for someone who "has to" measure bigger parts....

Hey, let me tell you, I don't measure parts that big, but I do have to check die sections from time to time. How could I do that if limited to a paltry ton of weight? As it is, there have been times when I have had to over-load the weight a bit to check a die section. I had about 9500 pounds on it once. And, as they say, size DOES matter!

Well, I would rather drop a 5lb part on my foot than a 9500lb part..... you can have your bigger machine.

Tom should ban him from the other site for that!
When in doubt, post code. A second set of eyes might see something you missed.
