Number of scan hits changing after running online

Morning,

Ive noticed that when I do a linear open scan, the scan hits change when the part is run online .

for example, if I create a linear open scan, and generate a path definition, I get 189 points in that scan.

When the same scan is run online, I end up with 229 points.

Any idea why the difference?
