  • Probe taking phantom touch at least 2mm before probe touches part.

    Can anyone tell me why the probe would think that it is taking a touch at least 2 mm before the probe actually touches the part? I have only seen this when the the head is rotated to something other than A-0 / B-0.

    too much tip weight for the module you are using and/or moving too fast.

      Are you using TP20s or Smart Probe Modules?

        I have a non-hexagon machine that is very sensitive to the air pressure range it runs on...outside of that range vibrations will happen at different locations in the volume and cause air triggers in certain spots.
