  • Front End Program Selector

    Hi,

Some of you have shop-floor applications for operators to choose part family's, part number and operation that will copy the "master" program from a server to the local drive to execute. I came from a large company and transitioned to a smaller one without this app.

A friend recommended looking at http://ams3d.astrei.com/ and looking under supervisor section. Sort of what I am looking for but it is dated and will not support XactMeasure.

Any others out there that you have tried and like?

    Thanks,

PC-DMIS is very open to automation and custom front end applications if you are into programming in something like VB.NET.

If I understand your request properly, you may wish to take a look at Inspect by Hexagon. It’s free if you’re licensed and it offers a very clean front end. Inspect 4.1 added support for pallet measurements if I’m not mistaken.

JC, will look at that on Monday. This place has severe security. Thanks.

Have you looked at Inspect? The basic product is free and has been part of the install since 2018 (I think). You can also download it here ftp://ftp.wilcoxassoc.com/Inspect/. There are some additional features that require a licence such as the pallet option that allows you to run multiple parts in different locations or create a "playlist" to run multiple programs sequentially.
