  • Programming from CAD

    I am programming from the CAD and the THEO does not match the ACTL. The ACTL is correct to the print.

    CAD is correct also but the program is not seeing it the same way. I measure the hole the hole size is correct and the ACTL measurement is also correct. But the THEO is different. Why is the measured matching the print and in the correct location but is showing true positions out of tolerance because the ACTL is diffrent.

    Could you post a picture of your report/code? I suspect an alignment issue...

      I've been staring at my magic 8-ball waiting for your code to appear for a half hour now... Hasn't shown up yet =(

      CIR7 =FEAT/CONTACT/CIRCLE/DEFAULT,CARTESIAN,IN,LEAST_SQR
      THEO/<43.877,36.058,-27.543>,<0.0000054,0.9999727,-0.0073876>,44.3
      ACTL/<44.029,36.061,-27.022>,<0.0000054,0.9999727,-0.0073876>,44.296
      TARG/<43.877,36.058,-27.543>,<0.0000054,0.9999727,-0.0073876>
      START ANG=0,END ANG=360
      ANGLE VEC=<-0.9999861,0.0000444,0.0052669>
      DIRECTION=CCW

      SHOW CONTACT PARAMETERS=YES
      NUMHITS=5,DEPTH=2,PITCH=0

      AVOIDANCE MOVE=NO,DISTANCE=10
      FIND HOLE=DISABLED,ONERROR=NO,READ POS=NO
      SHOW HITS=NO

      Is what you mean. On this circle the print is 44.03 and the actual is 44.029 and that is correct. But the THEO 43.877 is incorrect

        The fact that you vectors are not 0,1,0 says something is not right too Check your model Check your alignment Offline everything should be "perfect"

          i just redid the alignment. Everything is where is should be. The Theo did not update. How do i re generate the path to update eveything? or do i have to re hit my point to create a circle again?

            I think i got it. Looks like my plane that i leveled to was not correct. I created a new plane and changed everything over to the new plane and all seems to be good now.

            Thank you for the help all!
